MOTHERHOOD

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!   Today, we will visit my Mom.  It is her birthday as well.  She is now 72 and already suffers from heart failure.  Will she be willing to go through invasive procedures?-- to lengthen her life or cut it shorter?  Such is her crossroad today.  We ask for your prayers.   

I will cook for her today Carenific Seafood Spaghetti-- for longer life!  I seldom cook so this is a labor of love. I give tribute as Mama or "Tita" as she is known is truly the best Mom in the world.  Raising 7 kids is a BIG JOB-- I realize it now w/ my Carissa growing up.  I feel how big the task really is.  Teacher MOM I ought to be-- moulding good behaviour.  Being the model when you can get so frustrated yourself when she just refuses to go to bed.  Showing firmness  and training yourself in the art of negotiation-- giving them options to distract.  How to teach them Chores so that one day she will have a livelihood and not be dependent on you.. 

And now there is little Carina who will soon re-test of my Motherhood skills or give me another chance to be better at it.  Mama "TITA" has 7 and now she also helps take care of the Apos.. a never-ending task she must truly love.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAMA!  You know we love you very much.   

Her sister Tita Naying-- its her birthday too.  She will always be our second Mom. 

Happy Birthday to Lola Amy-- is she 89 now???  Long life has been given you...

May each day count for my 3 celebrants... Mother's Day in our family is really a BIG DAY.

BIRTHDAY BAPTISM

Thank you to family and friends who greeted and was there to celebrate the baptism of Carina.  Thanks to my little Carissa who entertained all of us, ably singing "Time after Time" all the time with the Magic Sing.  But for a 3 year old in tune and having her own antics-- it was superb.  Carina was a darling, constantly smiling.  Choi worked so long and hard on the two minute video.  Ninangs Ana and Anna-- I can feel your love for Carina and I am assured that even when I am gone someday, they have you both to get guidance.   To all those who missed it.. we love you and missed you too.

CHRISTMAS BABY

Born Christmas Day at Medical City... CARINA CRISTINA Tiangco.  Must have had too much noche buena.. then After 13 hours of painful contractions even after epidural-- the best Christmas Gift ever is born into the world.   New Years Day, we brought her home-- new life for me as a more devoted mommy and wife now. 

MISSING TRAVEL

Just came from the airport to bring husband Choi there.  He will be in Singapore, then Thailand for 2 weeks or more.  I wish I could go with him.  I miss travelling.  But for sure, it will be difficult for me me already.  Walking around already leaves me panting.  Plus there is Carissa to bring / leave behind.  Hence, not feasible.

I will surely miss travelling for a while.  Expected due date now is Dec. 24 and for the next 6 months would want to stay put with the new baby.

CLUMSY ME

Gee, I tripped a wire last night at work and strained my right foot.   Medical City placed elastic bandage, asked me to rest the foot and place ice for 24 hours.   Am ok, its just my first time ever to have bandages.  have to be careful, feel clumsy all the time.  Must be the changing center of gravity.

BIRTHDAYs & MOM's DAY

Today is a special day-- imagine 3 females in our family celebrate their birthday today.

My mom and Tita Naying were both born May 13, a year apart-- My lolo was an accountant that's why.   And then Lola Amy also was born May 13 too.   Ages 71, 70 and 89 years old!  Longer life ahead!

Tomorrow, HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all the Moms and moms to be!

I'M PREGNANT!

Got my bday wish finally since last year's bday-- I'm pregnant with baby no. 2.  Will call her CARINA if she will be a girl.  I still don't have a name confirmed if he will be a boy.  Hope he is a boy since Baby no. 1 CARISSA is a girl-- she'll be turning 3 on July 14.

BIRTHDAY

Celebrating my 35th and it happens to be Good Friday!  Well, good day to spend time with family, remember good friends and figure out how to celebrate my second debut next year.
